This page lists the various topics and courses for FREE contact hours as well as the courses pending submission. The AARC approval is noted by each approved course. Each course consists of 2 modules worth 3 contact hours for a total of 6 contact hours per course.

The airway course consists of two modules, Airway Management and Management of Pediatric Airways. Airway Management must be completed before starting Management of Pediatric Airways, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

The bronchial hygiene course consists of two modules, Incentive Spirometry and Secretion Management. Incentive Spirometry must be completed before starting Secretion Management, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

The inhaled gas course consists of two modules, HeliOx and Inhaled Nitric Oxide. HeliOx must be completed before starting Inhaled Nitric Oxide, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

The Disease Management Course I consists of two modules, COPD Management and Cystic Fibrosis Management. COPD Management must be completed before starting Cystic Fibrosis Management, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

The Disease Management Course II consists of two modules, Asthma Management and Pneumonia Management. Asthma Management must be completed before starting Pneumonia Management, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

The Diagnostic Methods I course consists of two modules, Blood Gas Analysis and Capnography. Blood Gas Analysis must be completed before starting Capnography, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

The Diagnostic Methods II course consists of two modules, Pulmonary Function Testing and Imaging in RT. Pulmonary Function Testing must be completed before starting Imaging in RT, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

Critical Care Techniques I (Coming Soon)

The Critical Care Techniques I course consists of two modules, High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation. High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation must be completed before starting Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

Advanced Oxygen Therapy (Coming Soon)

The Advanced Oxygen Therapy course consists of two modules, Oxygen Therapy and High Flow Nasal Cannula. Oxygen therapy must be completed before starting High Flow Nasal Cannula, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Interventions(Coming Soon)

The Diagnostic and Therapeutic Interventions Course consists of two modules, Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and Pharmacology. The Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency module must be completed before starting Pharmacology, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

Diagnostic Methods III (Coming Soon)

The Diagnostic Methods III Course consists of two modules, Arterial Lines and Bronchoscopy. The Arterial Line module must be completed before starting Bronchoscopy, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

Airway Monitoring and Interventions (Coming Soon)

The Airway Monitoring and Interventions Course consists of two modules, Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Non-Invasive Ventilation. The Obstructive Sleep Apnea module must be completed before starting Non-Invasive Ventilation, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

Let’s Move – RT in Motion (Coming Soon)

The course entitled “Let’s Move – RT in Motion” consists of two modules, Pulmonary Rehab and Transport. The Pulmoanry Rehab module must be completed before starting the Transport module, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

Disease Management III (Coming Soon)

The course entitled Disease Management III consists of two modules, COVID-19 and Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD). The COVID-19 module must be completed before starting the BPD module, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.

Critical Care Techniques II (Coming Soon)

The course entitled Critical Care Techniques II consists of two modules, ARDS and Advanced Ventilator Modes. The ARDS module must be completed before starting the Advanced Ventilator Modes module, and both modules must be completed in order to receive 6 contact hours of AARC approved credit. Your contact hour certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the second module.
