This is Part One of the Airway Care course. You must complete this module before starting the Management of Pediatric Airways module. Both modules must be completed to receive 6.0 contact hours.
This course on airway management is designed to reinforce what you may already know while introducing new concepts and skills. While the entire course is about airway management, each of the components provide a different focus that will help you sharpen your skills at the bedside. The articles in this course will challenge your way of thinking about routine cuff monitoring, provide new respect for the law of Hagen–Poiseuille, and review the evidence concerning the initiation and maintenance of a program that allows RCPs to intubate. This program starts with a brief review of the RSI process.
