The management and treatment of COPD has always been at the core of services offered by any Respiratory Therapy department. Therefore, it is important to have a good understanding of the disease so that individualized treatment plans can be designed for the unique needs of each patient. In this course, we will look at a broad overview of COPD, criteria used to diagnose it (changes from time to time), adverse events, patient monitoring, and examine the prevalence of asthma-COPD overlap.
