Welcome to our course on patient monitoring! This course is designed to equip the participant with the tools necessary to make end-tidal CO2 and oxygen monitoring an integral part of patient assessment. In this course, you will go over the principles of etCO2 monitoring, compare and contrast the differences between transcutaneous monitoring and end-tidal monitoring, and review the usefulness of monitoring with mechanically ventilated patients. You will also review the usefulness of end-tidal monitoring in the management of ARDS.
