This short course has been written in order to provide you with an orientation to our newest tools, Weaning Documentation via Smart Text and our Handoff Tool! It can sometimes be difficult to remember all of the aspects of care that need documentation, so all the pertinent areas of documentation have been brought together in one place. Many thanks to Justin for taking the lead in this project.
Objectives: Upon conclusion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Identify the patient population that would most appropriately benefit from this form
- Access the SmartText using standard methods
- Identify the various parts of the SmartText form
- Navigate between the various data fields using the F2 key
- Identify which part of the form has a list where entries can be chosen
- Identify the view that must be used in order to access the written Hand-Off tool.
- Enter an appropriate note in both the Summary and To-Do boxes
- Print the Hand-Off tool for your patients as appropriate
